Nick Brown, CEO

Group Chief Executive, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Nick Brown was appointed CEO in July 2009. He joined Global Aerospace in 2004 as Chief Underwriting Officer. Nick has over 30 years of experience in aviation insurance and reinsurance, including positions with M&G Re (purchased by Swiss Re in 1996) and with the London arm of AIG Aviation. In the post‐9/11 period, he played a key role in the ongoing provision of terrorism coverage to the aviation industry. Nick is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and a Chartered Insurer.


Jeffrey Bruno

President and Chief Underwriting Officer, U.S. Operations, Global Aerospace, Inc., Parsippany, N.J., USA

Jeff Bruno was named President and Chief Underwriting of Global Aerospace, Inc. in April 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and aviation insurance. He joined the company in 1988 and has served in multiple underwriting roles throughout his tenure. Jeff graduated with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in economics and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designations. Jeff is a type rated airline transport pilot with over 5,000 hours of logged PIC experience and maintains single, multi-engine, and instrument flight instructor certificates.


Joseph Zigrossi

Joseph Zigrossi has been President and CEO of Global Aerospace Canada since 1999. He began his insurance career in 1982 with Canadian Aviation Insurance Managers (USAU Inc.) in Toronto. His over 30 years of experience include 10 years as an Aviation Insurance Broker with some of Canada’s major brokerage firms. He studied Business Administration at York University and has a Canadian Risk Manager designation.  Joseph is a high honors graduate of the Seneca College Aviation and Flight Technology Program and holds a Commercial Fixed Wing Pilot License with multi-instrument and instructor ratings.  Seneca honored Joseph with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007.  He is currently a member of Seneca’s Aviation Program Advisory Committee and a Board Member of the Canadian Business Aircraft Association (CBAA).

Underwriting

Michael Bannon

Michael Bannon joined Global Aerospace in February 2009 and was appointed to his current position in July of that year. He has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation insurance industry. The first 20 years were spent on the broking side of the business, principally with Marsh and Sedgwick Aviation before moving into underwriting in 2000 with AIG Aviation. In his current role Michael has management responsibility for all of Global Aerospace’s underwriting through the London head office and branches in Cologne, Paris and Zurich.


Legal and Claims

Stephen Walsh

Head of Claims and Group General Counsel

Stephen Walsh joined Global Aerospace in October 2005 as Group General Counsel and Head of Claims.  Alongside his corporate role, he handles sensitive coverage matters and assists in resolving some of the more difficult disputes affecting our clients. Previously, he had been General Counsel at Associated British Ports and Legal Director at British Airways.  Stephen has a law degree from Oxford University and is a solicitor.


Sharon Holahan, Esq.

Executive Vice President, Director of Claims, Global Aerospace, Inc., Parsippany, N.J., USA

Sharon Holahan is the Director of Claims and an Executive Vice President at Global Aerospace and has the oversight responsibility for airline, manufacturers’ product liability and major litigation throughout Global Aerospace. Before coming to Global, she was an attorney in private practice and an associate editor at Aviation International News. Sharon is a founding member and first president of the International Aviation Women’s Association. She is a past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Aviation and Space Law Committee of the Torts and Insurance Section. In 1996 she was selected for membership in the International Who’s Who of Professionals in Aviation. Sharon is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars, and a non-current private pilot.  Sharon received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and law degree from Western New England School of Law.

Finance

Alan Tasker

Group Chief Financial Officer, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Alan Tasker has been the Group CFO since Global Aerospace was formed in 2001, having joined British Aviation Insurance Group in 1997. He has over 30 years of experience in financial management positions in insurance firms, including several positions with Prudential Group, one of the UK’s largest insurance groups. Alan is a graduate of the University of Bristol and trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

John Kelly

Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer, Global Aerospace, Inc., Parsippany, N.J., USA

John Kelly joined Global Aerospace in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer in April 2015.  John has over 30 years of experience in financial management positions within insurance firms, including positions with The PMA Group, Commonwealth Mortgage Assurance Company and Arthur Young and Company. John graduated with honors from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a degree in Accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.


Michael Falcone

Executive Vice President, Reinsurance, Actuarial and Compliance Director, Global Aerospace, Inc., Parsippany, N.J., USA

Mike Falcone joined Global Aerospace in March 2002 as Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary and was appointed to his current position in January 2015. He is primarily responsible for supporting the quantitative functions of the group including planning and monitoring. Prior to joining Global Aerospace Mr. Falcone was based in London as the Chief Actuary and Executive Director of Crowe Syndicate Management from 1999-2001. Mr. Falcone earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1991 from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Mr. Falcone holds the designation of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

Information Technology

Mark Chapman

Group Chief Information Officer, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Mark Chapman is Group CIO, responsible for the provision of Information Technology services to all of Global’s offices. Mark has over 17 years of experience of meeting the technology needs of aviation insurance. Mark is chair of the Associations’ Administration Committee (AAC) and a director of The Message Exchange Ltd (TMEL). Prior to joining Global, Mark worked in the Lloyd’s market for two years and with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for seven years. Mark graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge with a MA in Computer Sciences.
