Nick Brown, CEO

Group Chief Executive, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Nick Brown was appointed CEO in July 2009. He joined Global Aerospace in 2004 as Chief Underwriting Officer. Nick has over 30 years of experience in aviation insurance and reinsurance, including positions with M&G Re (purchased by Swiss Re in 1996) and with the London arm of AIG Aviation. In the post‐9/11 period, he played a key role in the ongoing provision of terrorism coverage to the aviation industry. Nick is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and a Chartered Insurer.


Jeffrey Bruno

President and Chief Underwriting Officer, U.S. Operations, Global Aerospace, Inc., Morris Plains, N.J., USA

Jeff Bruno was named President and Chief Underwriting of Global Aerospace, Inc. in April 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and aviation insurance. He joined the company in 1988 and has served in multiple underwriting roles throughout his tenure. Jeff graduated with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in economics and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designations. Jeff is a type rated airline transport pilot with over 5,000 hours of logged PIC experience and maintains single, multi-engine, and instrument flight instructor certificates.


Underwriting

Michael Bannon

Chief Operating Officer Europe, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Michael Bannon joined Global Aerospace in February 2009 and was appointed to his current position in January 2021, having previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer Europe. He has over 40 years’ experience in the aviation insurance industry. Prior to joining Global Aerospace Michael worked for AIG Aviation and spent the first half of his career on the broking side of the business.

Rachel Barrie

Group Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Rachel joined Global Aerospace in October 2007 as an Airline Underwriter. She was promoted to Underwriting Executive in 2014 and then Group Chief Underwriting Officer in 2020. Rachel has over 16 years’ of experience in aviation insurance. Prior to joining Global Aerospace, Rachel worked as an airline placing broker for Willis following successful completion of the Willis Graduate Programme.  Rachel holds a degree in Management and is a Chartered Insurer.


Legal and Claims

Michael Dobson

Head of Claims, Group General Counsel, Interim Director of Claims-USA, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Michael Dobson joined Global Aerospace in January 2020 as Group General Counsel and Head of Claims.  Alongside his corporate role, he handles sensitive coverage matters and assists in resolving some of the more difficult disputes affecting our clients. Previously, he has held a number of senior claims positions in the London insurance market, including Hiscox, Travelers and Aviva. Michael is a qualified solicitor (attorney) with over 20 years’ experience in the legal and insurance market.


Sharon Holahan, Esq.

Executive Vice President, Global Head of Complex Claims, Global Aerospace, Inc., Morris Plains, N.J., USA

Sharon Holahan joined Global Aerospace in 1984 and has served in multiple claims roles throughout her tenure. She was named Executive Vice President Global Head of Complex Claims in 2021.  Previously Ms. Holahan served as Director of US Claims.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of Global Aerospace Inc. and a member of the Global Aerospace Group Executive Committee.  She has the oversight responsibility for complex matters across all of the offices of Global Aerospace. Ms. Holahan is a founding member and first president of the International Aviation Women’s Association. She is a past Chair of the American Bar Association’s Aviation and Space Law Committee of the Torts and Insurance Section. She has been selected for membership in the International Who’s Who of Professionals in Aviation and is a member of the International Academy of Defense Counsel.

Ms. Holahan holds a Juris Doctorate and is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars and is a private pilot.

Finance

Alan Tasker

Group Chief Financial Officer, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Alan Tasker has been the Group CFO since Global Aerospace was formed in 2001, having joined British Aviation Insurance Group in 1997. He has over 30 years of experience in financial management positions in insurance firms, including several positions with Prudential Group, one of the UK’s largest insurance groups. Alan is a graduate of the University of Bristol and trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

John Kelly

Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer, Global Aerospace, Inc., Morris Plains, N.J., USA

John Kelly joined Global Aerospace in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer in April 2015.  John has over 30 years of experience in financial management positions within insurance firms, including positions with The PMA Group, Commonwealth Mortgage Assurance Company and Arthur Young and Company. John graduated with honors from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a degree in Accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.


Michael Falcone

Mike Falcone joined Global Aerospace in March 2002 as Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary and was appointed to his current position in April 2019. He is primarily responsible for supporting the quantitative functions of the group including planning and monitoring. Prior to joining Global Aerospace Mr. Falcone was based in London as the Chief Actuary and Executive Director of Crowe Syndicate Management from 1999-2001. Mr. Falcone earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1991 from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Mr. Falcone holds the designation of Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

Information Technology

Mark Chapman

Group Chief Information Officer, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited, London, UK

Mark Chapman is Group CIO, responsible for the provision of Information Technology services to all of Global’s offices. Mark has over 17 years of experience of meeting the technology needs of aviation insurance. Mark is chair of the Associations’ Administration Committee (AAC) and a director of The Message Exchange Ltd (TMEL). Prior to joining Global, Mark worked in the Lloyd’s market for two years and with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for seven years. Mark graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge with a MA in Computer Sciences.
