This role is responsible for preparing financial statements and analysis, review, and process financial transactions, including data from electronic systems, invoices, and bank transactions. In addition, will provide accounting support to the finance team through reconciliations and analysis. Further duties and responsibilities are listed below:

• Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages under IFRS and US GAAP in addition to expense management packages including analysis and commentary preparation.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual federal and state tax expense estimates, payment calculations and reconciliations.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budget, forecasting and actual expense analysis.
• Support member company related analysis, costing, and allocations.
• Gather/prepare documentation to support financial results, unusual activity, trends, or occurrences and inform finance and business partners of the findings as needed.
• Develop management and analytical reports and provide support to related users.
• Participate in the preparation and analysis of various employee benefit plan regulatory filings including the preparation of financial statements and audited annual reports.
• Review SAP Concur expense reports and invoices for compliance. Manage general ledger integrations and oversee coding for accuracy. Maintenance of the SAP Concur Capture queue. Process reimbursements for travel expenses charged to claims.
• Communicate with vendors, auditors, various departments, related companies, and employees to assist with questions and requests for information.
• Process various banking transactions. Manage bank transfers and handle bank deposits.
• Prepare account reconciliations and account analysis. Manage or assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals, prepaid and capitalized expenditure calculations and reconciliations.

Qualifications

Education:
• College degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.

Skills/Experience:
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, & Sumifs) and Word
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate an orientation to results, ownership and accountability of tasks and deliverables.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse group and prioritize tasks.
• Integrity and dedication necessary. Enthusiastic self-starter.
• P&C Insurance accounting and/or understanding of Insurance financial concepts and data a plus.
• Relevant experience in a financial reporting or accounting role a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft accounting systems a plus.
• Experience with Jet Reports, SAP Concur systems a plus.
• Experience with data analytics and relevant software a plus.
