Relocation assistance will be considered.  This role is responsible for the adjustment and settlement of first- and third-party aircraft hull claims in accordance with Company policies and best practices.  Potential for involvement with the handling of third-party liability claims for general aviation line of business.  Set up and maintain claim files, evaluate liability and damages issues, negotiate settlements with insureds and third-party claimants, prepare outgoing correspondence, prepare claim payments, and evaluate and prepare recommendations on claim subrogation. Further duties & responsibilities are listed below.

  • Manage assigned claim files, including investigation and evaluation of claims, evaluation of coverages, establish reserves, and negotiation/settlement of claims
  • Confer with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation
  • Resolve complex, severe exposure claims, using high service-oriented file handling
  • Apply technical knowledge and human relations skills to effect fair and prompt resolution of claims
  • Manage, analyze, and respond to incoming claim information and appropriately document file
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of new claims into Company’s claims platforms
  • Review repair invoices and other billings for appropriateness and authorize for payment within authority
  • Investigate first and third-party claims including obtaining witness statements, investigating reasonableness of claim, surveying loss or retaining appropriate external investigation resources
  • Use variety of tools, including internet, to research and complete projects as assigned
  • Professionally and timely communicate with insureds and claimants to assemble required claim documentation
  • 30% travel required

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

Skills/Experience:

  • 5 years of multiline claims experience or Juris Doctor (JD) with a focus on Insurance Defense, Coverage or Litigation
  • Property and Casualty Claims experience
  • Strong customer focus and ability to identify and respond to customer needs
  • Private Pilot and/or A&P licenses preferred
  • High level of expertise in negotiating & problem-solving aptitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to analyze problems/situations in terms of long-range goals and recommend a course of action
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

 Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range For This Role Is:

$90,000- $120,000

This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for this position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to relevant experience, education, geography and skill set. All full time positions are eligible to participate in Global’s profit-sharing plan program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
