Global Aerospace Announces Retirement of Michael Bannon, CUO Europe
Gareth Howell Named Successor
Global Aerospace, a world-leading provider of aviation and aerospace insurance, today announces the retirement of Michael Bannon, Chief Underwriting Officer Europe, effective 30 June 2025. Gareth Howell will serve as Chief Underwriting Officer Europe upon Michael’s retirement.
Michael has had a distinguished 40-plus-year career in both the broking and underwriting sectors of the business. He joined Global Aerospace in 2009 and has held his current role since 2011.
Rachel Barrie, Group Chief Executive shared, “We are deeply grateful for Michael’s leadership and contributions over the years, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Gareth Howell joined the Company in 2018 and was appointed Underwriting Director in January 2022. He added, “After 23 years in the aviation insurance industry, encompassing roles in broking, underwriting and risk management, I’m incredibly proud to continue the legacy of excellence established by Michael. I look forward to working with our clients, brokers and colleagues as we continue our journey as a leading provider in the aviation insurance industry.”
