Secure Email Notification

March 12, 2020

At Global Aerospace, we enforce Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption on emails containing sensitive data to ensure they are transmitted over the internet securely.  If your email servers support TLS encryption, you will continue to receive these emails in your inbox.

If your email server does not support TLS encryption, your email will be delivered to a Secure Messaging portal for you to download.

The first time you receive an email via our Secure Messaging portal, you will be sent an email notification to your personal inbox containing a temporary password to access the secure portal.  This email will come from ‘Global – Mimecast‘ and will look similar to the Screenshot below:

When you initially sign in, you will be asked to set your own password.
Your new password must meet the following password policy:

Password of at least 12 characters and must include all of the following:

  • At least one lowercase alphabetical character (a-z)
  • At least one uppercase alphabetical character (A-Z)
  • At least one numeric character (0-9)
  • At least one non-alphanumeric ( !@#$,.)

The password you set will never expire, unless you choose to reset it via the link in the notification email.

To access subsequent secure messages from Global Aerospace, you will receive a secure message notification to your personal inbox with a link to the portal. This notification will arrive from the individual at Global Aerospace who sent you the secure email.

See example below:

*Please Note: If your organization uses multiple servers to handle email communications, specific servers may support TLS encryption while others may not.  If this is the case, some individuals in your office may receive TLS encrypted emails while others may be prompted to use the secure portal. Please contact your IT department if you experience this issue.

Global Aerospace has implemented this system to comply with data protection regulations and to increase the security of both our clients’ data and our own data.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact us.
