Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement – Financial Year Ending December 2020
Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Limited (“Global”) is an insurance pool manager specialising in aerospace insurance and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, reference number 312102.
This is Global’s Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the financial year ending 31 December 2020.
Global is opposed to modern slavery and human trafficking and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity. Global considers its business to be low risk in relation to the potential for modern slavery given the nature of its business. Global’s suppliers are predominantly UK based or professional firms but Global does expect all of its suppliers to comply with all relevant laws and regulations. Additionally Global screens suppliers whom it engages to provide services to it in the course of its business and if these screenings give rise to any concerns it will take steps to investigate and, if necessary, cease the working relationship and report the criminal behaviour.
To maintain awareness and a high level of understanding amongst its staff Global has an Anti-Slavery Policy and a Whistleblowing Policy which includes references to modern slavery and human trafficking. Training on modern slavery and human trafficking is also included on Global’s compliance plan.
This statement will be reviewed annually and made available on Global’s website. This statement was approved by Global’s board on 15 April 2021.
