Job Title: Claims Representative

This role is responsible for the performance and supervision of first and third-party claims handling in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures. Further duties & responsibilities are listed below.

  • Implement the directives and objectives of the Claims management
  • Adjust claims and conduct negotiations on behalf of the Company within a specified range of authority
  • Remain informed of all assigned claims through periodic review and diary control
  • Maintain current knowledge of technical and legal developments
  • Evaluate subrogation potential on claims assigned for handling and make recommendations to Claims management concerning pursuit of subrogated recoveries
  • Assist in the underwriting and production efforts undertaken in coordination with underwriting managers
  • Manage claims and perform the administrative, recordkeeping and appraisal functions required by the Company

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field, or equivalent, strongly desirable
  • FAA pilot certificate or FAA A&P mechanic certificate strongly desirable
  • Insurance adjuster license(s) strongly desirable

 Skills/Experience:

Required:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and collaboration with team members and across the Company
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office computer applications
  • Aptitude for learning proprietary computer systems
  • Aptitude for handling the consumer products line of business (private pleasure and business aircraft; UAS; personal non-owned; seaplanes; and small airports)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 25% domestic travel required

Preferred:

  • Five years of aviation insurance claims handling experience or equivalent
  • Technical aviation industry experience as a pilot, mechanic or in another technical role highly desirable
  • Claims or underwriting experience strongly desired

 Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range For This Role Is:

$50,000 – $63,000

This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for this position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to relevant experience, education, geography and skill set. All full time positions are eligible to participate in Global’s profit-sharing plan program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
