A Message from our CEO: An Update on COVID-19

Dear Business Partner,

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to weigh heavily on both our private and business lives, and none of us can yet predict its future course, nor estimate the full extent of its economic impact. We are all, let’s be honest, finding our way in the dark.

At Global we have now been working from home for three weeks, and I am pleased to be able to report that the transition to a remote operating model has gone very smoothly. All our people worldwide have engaged positively with the changed circumstances and we have been able to continue to provide a full service throughout this period. Global remains very much open for business during this crisis.

Insurance is a collaborative product, and it is also worth noting that the brokers, together with the lawyers, surveyors and other vendors that we work with have similarly risen to the challenge of adapting to the crisis.

I do not underestimate the challenges that lie ahead, both for the insurance industry and for the air transport and aerospace sectors that we serve – but I am confident that we will get through this crisis working together in the spirit of partnership that has become the hallmark of our business.
