Global Aerospace Announces Reorganisation of Underwriting Leadership in USA and London

Global Aerospace is pleased to announce the following changes to take effect from 1st January 2021: Jeff Bruno (President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Aerospace, Inc.) will take on the additional role of Group Head of Digital. In this role he will be responsible for developing a worldwide strategy for growing our capabilities in digital underwriting, distribution, and associated services.

In the United States, the company will be creating two new Underwriting Director roles reporting to Jeff Bruno. Frank Turtola will be appointed Underwriting Director with overall responsibility for all of our main aircraft insurance lines including Airlines and General Aviation. Nicholas Methven will be appointed Underwriting Director, responsible for non-aircraft insurance lines including manufacturers, aerospace business, and workers compensation.

In London, Martin Cox and Simon Abbott will be appointed Underwriting Directors, and will report to our Group Chief Underwriting Officer, Rachel Barrie, who will assume responsibility for the London Underwriting team. Additionally, Rachel will be responsible for the underwriting strategy across the group.

Michael Bannon will be appointed Chief Operating Officer, Europe and will be responsible for the underwriting operations in London and Zurich, as well as serving on the supervisory of board of GAUM Europe. He will retain his current responsibilities for Reinsurance and will also be the manager of the London branch of GAUM Europe.
